Tiny letters & time travel. . .

How do you like these tiny letters I found?
They’re only less than an inch tall.
I love the school box, don't you?

They take me on a little time travel,
back to 1983 teaching 1st grade
@ Sandy Elementary.

Those are sweet memories.

Thanks, tiny letters!

Very good junk, coming soon to flea.o.logy. . .

Had an amazing junking day last Friday. . .

Found all this good junk in the same place. . .

Of course, I can't divulge where that was.

If I did my junking partner would disown me.

And I really don't want that to happen. . .

So, sorry, location is a secret.

The good news is. . . there's more where this came from.

And Jen has some too.

And it's coming to flea.o.logy

Come see it on January 19th.

In Payson.

At Olson's Garden Shoppe.

Check fleaology.blogspot.com for details

And ~ I'll see you very soon. . .

Relief Society Grapes!

Not having grown up in the LDS church,

I knew nothing about the culture of glass grapes.

I've been LDS for nearly 33 years now,

and I still know nothing about them.

I think I'll be okay, though.

Found these beauties last week while junking.

They're smaller and more delicate than most.
(Look a lot more like grapes, too, if you ask me.)

I'll be bringing them to flea.o.logy in a couple of weeks.

Don't trample each other rushing to get them, okay?

Check out the flea.0.logy blog for more info:

Craft room makeover, part 2. . .

Still working on the craft room.

Probably will be for a while.

Found an awesome shelf the other day,
which meant major reorganization of two other shelves.

That's how this process works. . . .

These are some of the things that go on that shelf.

An enamel refrigerator box filled with doll parts.

Pretty, aren't they?

This is another enamel refrigerator box,
also filled with doll parts.

Someday I'm going to put together
these oddball dolls I've been dreaming of.

For now they are just in boxes on my shelves.

Here's another grouping
hanging out in my craft room.

Pink stuff.

Not sure what to do with it yet.

But it's pretty too, don't you think?

This is the new shelf with all the refrigerator boxes.

The shelf is a lot more attractive in person.

But - ooohh - is it ever great for fitting in craft supplies!

Another great shelf, this one a freebie. . . .

See all those jars with craft supplies?

Woo hoo!

Love, love, love this shelf!

Got it at Second Hand Chic in Sugarhouse.

It's yellow and chippy and delicious.

And finally,
I'm sharing with you
one of my budding collections.

Tomato pincushions.

In a jar.

Because everything looks
more wonderful
under glass.

Don't you think???

So, what projects
are you working on?

New Year's project. . . organize the craft room! (Eek. . .)

My new year's resolution started about a month ago.

I figured I would need an early start since the project was mammoth size.

The task: organize my craft/sewing room.

Why so bad?  Because the 6-inch footpaths
have taken a couple of years to create.

I love to put my button collection, and lots of other pretties, in jars.
That way everything is easy to spot.

Now, you only get to see "vignettes" of the room.

That's what my friend Jen calls them.
Little "snapshots" of what the whole thing looks like.

That's 'cause the whole room isn't ready yet.

But I am making progress.
Pat myself on the back for that. . . .

I love, love, love boxes!  Have had a collection of them
since I was a teenager.  Metal boxes are my favorite now.

Found the four-drawer cabinet above when Fred and I went junking in Idaho last spring.

Got it for a song, had Hot Wheels stickers all over it when we first met it.
The stickers came off, and now it's a lovely home to jewelry parts.

The little red metal tote first belonged to Jen, who sold it to Bruce, who sold it to me.
I was with Jen when she bought it, and would have bought it if she hadn't seen it first.
Sometimes junking just isn't fair. . .
(But ~ I still love her!)

More "pretties" in jars along with my sweet puppet
I picked up at flea.o.logy last September.

These jars hold thread on wood spools,
vintage sewing trim,
and wood beads.

I just love how ordinary objects look

amazing

when you put them in glass!

More pictures of my room another day. . . .

BTW, are you coming to flea.o.logy?
